Culinary
In Weligama, food moves with the day: fruit and coffee on a shaded terrace, seafood from local waters and wine poured slowly by the shore.
The coast, served slowly
Dining at Eraeliya is less about ceremony than setting. The bay is always close, the produce is seasonal, and the mood is quietly personal: breakfast on a veranda, a light plate after surfing, seafood prepared with southern Sri Lankan character, or a glass of wine carried out towards the beachfront at sunset. Organic and locally sourced ingredients shape the kitchen, while the estate’s newest bistro brings a more intimate rhythm to evenings by the Indian Ocean.
Dining
Fresh, local and quietly generous, Eraeliya’s main dining experience is rooted in the wellbeing of simple food: seasonal fruit, vegetables, seafood and organic produce prepared with care. Meals may unfold with an ocean view, on a private terrace or in the soft shade of the gardens, always with the feeling of being hosted in a coastal home rather than a formal restaurant.
Kicki & Nonna
This intimate Weligama wine bistro brings together a carefully curated selection chosen by the in-house sommelier with flavour-led dishes designed for pairing. Created by Swedish friends Filippa and Moa, the atmosphere is relaxed and personal: shared plates, thoughtful pours, bean bags by the beachfront and the unhurried pleasure of sunset beside the sea.
